I2O on Linux - Changes
- 2006-06-30: No patches are needed for 2.6.17 kernel.
- 2006-06-08: For kernel 2.6.16 there is a patch available in the download section which solves the reported crashes.
- 2006-05-15: Many users have reported problems with 2.6.16 kernel. There is no bugfix available right now.
- 2005-12-16: SPARC / bugfix and optimization patches are submited for inclusion into kernel.
- 2005-10-10: I2O subsystem now works on SPARC too, but you have to use the version in subversion right now.
- 2005-09-09: Users of the Promise RAID controller should use at least 2.6.12 kernel.
- 2005-07-25: fixed patch 1.288 for 2.6.11 kernel.
- 2005-06-23: Added a patch for Promise RAID controllers which fixed a memory leak.
- 2005-06-09: Added another help for raidutils into the FAQ section.
- 2005-06-02: There is a patch for version 1.288 against 2.6.11 kernel in the download section.
- 2005-05-20: Updated patch for grub to 0.96 and removed wrong partition handling (Thanks to Peter Jones).
- 2005-05-19: A workaround for Promise controllers is now found, and already send for inclusion into mainline kernel (Thanks to Sascha Daeges).
- 2005-05-13: Patches (version 1.288) are send for integration into mainline kernel, but it will probably not included before 2.6.13.
- 2005-05-10: A workaround for the AAR-2400A lockup bug is now in version 1.287 (Thanks to Wolfram Joost and Remo Tex). Promise Controllers could still cause lockups.
- 2005-05-08: Some users have reported lockups every once in a while with the newest version of the I2O subsystem. A solution is not available at the moment. But i'm working with them to get it fixed as soon as possible.
- 2005-05-03: 64-bit PAE support is working with version 1.270 and all Adaptec Controllers with Firmware >= 3709 (thanks to Warren Togami for his great support).
- 2005-04-26: Promise SX6000 controller with firmware version > 1.20.0.0 are now recognized correctly (thanks to Alex Murphy and Sascha Daeges).
- 2005-04-18: Experimental PAE support for Adaptec controllers is now in 1.236. If you have a Adaptec controller (DPT doesn't work) and could test it out, please contact me.
- 2005-04-14: Promise controllers are now working with driver version 1.231 (at the moment only in subversion), thanks to Andrew Flerchinger for providing access to the Promise SX6000.
- 2005-03-15: If you own a LSI MegaRAID, Intel (SRCU21, SRCU31) or Promise (SX6000) controller and could try out the I2O subsystem, please contact me.
- 2005-01-24: New version of raidutils for FC3.
- 2005-01-12: After Fedora and Debian the raidutils are now also available on Gentoo.
- 2004-12-29: New raidutils package which is easier to compile from source in download section.
- 2004-12-17: Please put at least "I2O" into subject if you send e-mails to me so i don't miss them.
- 2004-12-16: Because some users had problems caused from a timeout, there is a new patch in the download section until the fix is included in mainline kernel (2.6.10).

- 2004-12-12: I've noticed that some users just fill out the survey that the driver didn't work, but didn't contact me. If you have problems with the I2O subsystem, please let me know, so we can fix it.
