CommentI have to use "linux noprobe" to get OS to prompt for drivers. The I2O_block is the only I2O in the default driver list. When trying to insmod i2o_proc.ko (as per RH How-to) the module does not seem to have been loaded according to lsmod. I am not sure whether to use the SMP or non-SMP modules. Also I am not sure of the proper syntax of the modified insmod used in the FC3 install. I can copy the module to /tmp from a floppy. Do I do "insmod i2o_proc.ko" from within /tmp (to which the file has been copied)? Do I need to load any other I2O drivers? If so, in what order? Do any of the /module configuration files need to be modified? This box currently is running FC1. This may be a showstopper as FC1 is now legacy and I have little hope of FC4 of installing any better. I'd hate to scrap this mobo.
