CommentAfter newly installing the server with kernel version 2.6.11 we got kernel oopses every now and then especially in situations where the server had to do a lot of IO. First we tought it may be a problem within kernel version 2.6 since we never had any problems like this before. The problem seemed to go away when we recompiled the kernel without SMP and HT until it oopsed again a few hours ago. We disabled dpt support and enabled I2O support and did some heavy io testing now. Seems to work bomb stable again! We will try to enable SMP and HT again. Thanks for your great efforts!
